AAC Synergy
AAC Synergy is a dependable choice for two-row malt or feed barley production across Western Canada. It provides a strong quality profile, featuring relatively low protein levels, high kernel plumpness, strong extract potential, and low beta-glucan content. In addition, it offers good resistance to common foliar diseases. Overall, AAC Synergy combines consistent yield performance with the quality characteristics required by the malt industry.
SeCan Barley
Esma
Esma is a promising two-row barley variety characterized by exceptionally short, strong straw and high grain yield potential. It is well suited to the high moisture and high fertility growing conditions found in Western Canada. While Esma has been registered as a malt variety in Ontario, it is better positioned as a feed barley in Western Canada, as its malt profile does not align with typical western malting standards.
SeCan Barley
CDC Durango
CDC Durango is a high-yielding two-row feed barley variety with short, strong straw and excellent standability. In cooperative registration trials, it achieved 107% of the grain yield of CDC Austenson and demonstrated improved lodging resistance. CDC Durango is a strong successor to CDC Austenson and is well suited for production across all barley-growing regions of Western Canada.
FP Genetics Barley
Sirish
Sirish is a European two-row barley variety with strong yield potential, very short plant height, and excellent standability. It is a low-protein variety with a unique quality profile that is well suited to craft brewing markets. Its short stature and plant structure also support efficient harvestability and improved straw management for both feed and malt production systems.
